During lunch on Wednesday, (26 april), i sat with Miss Yoyo and Vivien. Think we were talking a lot of cock (still dun understand why cock has its own crude meaning...bleah) When Miss yoyo reminded me about my backdated entries i was supposed to write.
Miss Yoyo: "Eh, you never backdate your entries anymore ah? Your enteries now quite up to date." Me!!: "No la, I decided to be up to date cuz the Pig challenged me to it...from now on i shall backdate..."
And so it went on about how people dun usually backdate. And yes, apparently until NOW, i have not added ANY backdated entry. This is because
i) I am considering whether to discuss about the clowns i meet at work or my birthday ii) I am very lazy iii) Coincidentally, i am trying to come up with a cuter blog skin (Wa biang eh...i got so many things to learn lo! Maybe by the time i finish, next decade le...)
And ya, i think i shall backdate very soon...(hahaha...听就好) ---
Pregnant woman- Special people, special mentality
You know, there is always this sign that says to give up your seats to the "people who needs it more than you" on the MRT and Bus. And so, pregnant people happen to fall into one of the categories. I dunno if i will get a lot of flake for writing this, but i feel that these group of people are DIFFERENT from the pregnant woman from the past.
WHY?
Ever read about the recent article on how this preg woman kao pei the ah pei on the MRT who occupied 2 seats- One for his backside and one for his plastic bag. In the end, i think she wrote to stomp and even had the picture taken. Then it turns out - someone replied - that the plastic bag did not belong to the ah pei.
The point here i am trying to bring here is not about the ah peh. Rather, the mentality of a pregnant person. Perhaps, education educates the brain but not the soul. Where people are more aware of their rights, they can get more self centered.
I wonder if pregnant people feel that they "rightfully" have access to a seat.
HOWEVER, i would like to bring a point that, morally; socially; and ethical reasoning are the motion behind giving seats to people who "needs it more than us". Pragmatically speaking, people have NO obligations whatsoever to give up their seats to pregnant woman. Rationally speaking, one sacrifices his luxury to sit when he chooses to give it up. SO, i would think of it as a BONUS, rather than an "应该的" (absoultely deserved) act.
Not that my butt is glued to my seat 24/7. Whenever i see them, i give up my seat. But I FEEL there is something different in these people from the my past encounters- The lack of appreciative attitude. Some don't even look at you in the eye and say thank you. Maybe it is just me.
You say they have difficult standing. And so, it seems the weighty tummy proves no hurdle for a heavily pregnanted woman to rush from the bus enterance to an empty seat. I am amazed. Is society wallowing in self pitance or it is perspectives at work?
Not that this is something to yada about, but i just find this phenomenum socially disturbing, whatever you call it.
Old folks whom i come across APPEAR to be more independent and much more appreciative of your efforts. I wonder why.
Yupz yupz, i understand the inconveniences faced by the pregnant people, the stress put on their crevix for standing too long, their vein-y legs etc.. I am not saying that it is wrong for them to sit or for people to give up their seats.
What i mean is, little actions count. If people were not appreciative of each other and take things for granted, we will all be experiencing winter very soon- Winter in our hearts.
Er...Has been a long while since i have updated...Cuz exams coming ma...
And so, my friends were telling me how backdated i am... "By the time you end your IA, maybe we will see an entry "My exams are here!!".... ... ... (*(@&$(&*(@$&(%@)
